Research

The focus of Dr. O’Brien's extension and applied research efforts has been on grain and bioenergy market analysis, with an emphasis on wheat, feed grains, oilseeds, and ethanol supply, demand, and prices. He has also been working on irrigated and dryland cropping systems and natural resource-related issues in western Kansas.
